Trust and Security

My philosophy is that people are generally good-natured, careful, and honest, and that therefore I would like not to have to require a security deposit before renting out the property. Unfortunately, the experience of others is that things can go wrong, and damage or theft to the property or its contents can occur, even though this is checked at the end of each rental. Therefore in common with almost all other property owners I will ask for an appropriate deposit, but you can be assured that if you leave the property clean and tidy and in the same condition in which you found it (normal wear and tear excepted) you will get the full deposit returned to you quickly and without fuss.

I'm not expecting people to be immune to the odd accident... they happen, but if you do break something or lose something, then please let me know so that I can fix the problem before the next rental begins.

Security Deposit

The security deposit will be 25% of the booking fee. It does two things, secures your booking, and assures me that if you or your pets mess up or break something through carelessness, I can have it cleaned, repaired or replaced.

You will get back all of your security deposit if things are left (subject to normal wear and tear) in the condition you find them. Please note that until the security deposit has been received, your booking is not confirmed.

Arrivals And Departures

When you arrive at the property, no doubt you will be fairly tired from the travelling. I'll try to make it as easy as possible for you to get settled in and will provide a few necessities in case you arrive after the supermarkets have closed - watch this space.

Booking Form/Contract

Three (3) documents comprise the basis of a contract between us, the Booking/Contract Form itself, the Terms and Conditions, and the Disclaimer. Please read and print all three documents, complete and sign where appropriate, then send them to me.
